The Youth Music Lover group has been performing for Idlewyld Manor residents since July 2017. They are an extremely talented youth group. They perform a variety of musical genres in order to connect with a diverse audience. The group is able to adapt to any specific event and they are very respectful of the residents and home. This program allows the residents to connect with youth in our community and share a love of music. We are fortunate to have a partnership with The Youth Music Lover group.

Members of Family Council and residents at Idlewyld Manor Long Term Care Home were so pleased to have the students come to entertain us. It is such a pleasure for the residents to be in contact with young people and young musicians are even better! Residents were amazed at the talent they saw from those of such a young age. They really appreciated the classical music as it is something they don't hear very often. I believe the YMLs provided the only concerts that my dear mother really appreciated as she was a great fan of the Hamilton Philharmonic and the sort of music to be heard at their events. Also as a former public school teacher and piano player herself, she took great interest in their ages and progress.
Sadly she is no longer with us, but I still attend many events at Idlewyld and look forward to hearing and watching the residents enjoy the YMLs talents.
